The menu of the module below is indicated by a «Hamburger» Symbol (three vertical lines). Clicking this symbol de/activates the menu. Particularly on a smartphone it should not be active in order to have more space for the content.

There will be additional modules available in the next month. Currently, these topics in progress:

These modules will be presented with a little MOODLE-course, which will make it easy to absolve, even for starters in the solar technology!

Before signing in, you have the possibility to choose a language in which the app and your PDF-downloads appears. This means that you cannot change a language while working inside the app – you must first log yourself out, click «Proceed to Sign-In» and choose a language. After a new log-in, the language has changed. The data that previously entered are still available.

Currently, the App only supports English and French. Please get in contact with us to ask for further translations!

This happens sometimes – but it is easy to solve: Just refresh the page!

Yes. Please open the App on your smartphone, click the «Share» Symbol (1) and choose to add the app to the welcome screen of your mobile (2). A symbol of the App will be added to your Home Screen from which you can open the App just as any other application. Refer to the attached image…

Please click «Save & Next» once you are finished with a step. It is necessary to save a information before it can be taken into account for a calculation!

This is currently not possible. A connection to the GIZ-server must be established to manage your data (Password, Farm-cases etc.). For a future version, we plan for an additional simplified version (for mobile only) in which data can be collected offline on site and later synchronized online with the main app.

The password for the app is needed to manage your calculation examples and whether you want to share this cases with other users or not. 

If you proceed to «Data Sharing» you can decide whether your case in «Public» or «Private». It does not automatically mean that other can see your calculation when you allow us to share your PDF. Your choice only allows the admin to download your case as PDF and gat the possibility to publish it here on the platform. 
If you want to keep your case private, just do not tick the «Agree» button…

To download the latest versions of the tools (version 6, updated 2024), please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the following site: https://spis-toolbox.org/toolbox/experts/ 

2. If you are not registered as a user, click on “Registration” and proceed to step 3. If you are already registered, click on “Login window” and skip to step 4.

3. Fill in the requested information and click “Submit & proceed to the « EXPERT» tools”. You will receive an email at the provided address to activate your account.

4. Log in with your credentials (username & password) and click “To the « EXPERT» tools” to access your account.

5. Once logged in, select any of the available tools listed on the page as shown in the help-document below:

In default, all sheets are protected to prevent from any unwanted changes. The password to unlock a sheet is «PowerAg». Please be sure to use the correct spelling including upper and lower cases

Yes. Actually, the Toolbox consist of 16 EXCEL-tools and Word-checklists. Only the above listed six tools have been updated  in 2024 to revised and multilingual versions. The remaining tools in version 4 are still available from the page «Toolbox->Toolbox 2021»

Yes, all updated tools are available in 4 languages (Englisch, French, Spanish, Arabic). To change into another language, please use the «Select language» choice with is located at the top of the READ-ME pages in every of the above listed tools.

For the multilanguage option to work properly, do NOT delete any sheet

Yes, it is absolutely required to allow the use of macros. Once opening a certain tool you are asked whether you accept this before you can actually start working with the tool.
Make sure that macro is always enabled for the proper functioning of the tools

Yes, correct – sometimes you are informed that only «Read only» is allowed. To tackle this, do the following:
Please open the file by accepting «Read only» and then proceed to the menu «File» -> «Save Under» and give the copy a changed name (make sure that this new file is still saved in «.xlsm» format). 
Now everything should work as expected!

Principal answer: Yes – BUT your version of EXCEL must be compatible with the format «xlsm».
Make sure that a file is always saved as «.xlsm», otherwise it will unfortunately not work!

No, this is absolutely not recommended! Although the sheets can be accessed by a smartphone, it is not possible to reach certain fields and enter data. You have to use a desktop (or at least a tablet with a greater display)
